Halloween 2010

This Halloween Arlene and I dressed as Boo & Sully, from Monsters Inc. We went downtown to get fabric for our costumes. Arlene’s Mom helped me sew the vest together. Arlene sew the sequence fabric on her Wet Seal sweatshirt pocket and also in lined the hood with the same fabric. She layered it with a grey long sleave. With a purple skirt, grey tights and leggings. We dyed her white pants for me, and her sweatshirt purple with dye from Michael’s. She was able to cut up a mop we bought from Walmart and then topped it with Boo’s eye, a Styrofoam ball and pipe cleaners. Our DIY costumes came out pretty cool I thought. Hope everyone had a good Halloween.

LA Art Walk 101410

LA Art Walk...

Tonight my girl and I went to the LA Art Walk for the first time. I have to say it was an experience you just need to try yourself. They had tons of cool artzy shits there. From street performers, live painters, DJ, bands playing and tons of galleries with amazing artists. There was also a shit load of food trucks there that covered pretty much the whole food spectrum. Over all it we had a kick as time. Going again for sure, I totally recommend it.

Dland Pass Holders

We are now officially Disneyland Premium pass holders…

I had a hard time getting up this morning after doing some, shirt designs late last night. I was able actually get up after a million times of Arlene trying to wake me up. We left the house early (even though I lagged) and got the oil change for the Smart Car. Headed on down to good old Disneyland and purchased our passes. We parked in the downtown Disney parking to avoid having to pay for parking since we where only staying for a little. Lady at the ticket booth said “oh, smart move”. We took the Monorail, which was Arlene’s first time. We sat in one of the middle cars. Now I suggest either sitting in the front or in the back of the Monorail. The middles don’t have much A/C, so it was a hot ride into Dland. When we got to the park we thought “Oh its Wednesday, no ones here, we got this” WRONG. It was packed to the brim. Matterhorn line was wrapped around the mountain its self. 30min wait there, 30 min wait here it was pretty busy today. We were able to ride, The Pirates of The Caribbean. Reminded me of iCarly (yes I watch that shit) when the guy was selling Pirate movies, “Pirates of the Lima Bee-An” HA! Anyways…we rode that shit, and bounced. Overall had a great day with my love, her birthday is Sunday. We got a fun filled weekend ahead of us. “So I’ll be a vlogin, Rrrrrrrrr”

Tonight…

I get to go shoot at the Hollyweird Roosevelt Hotel. Might catch some celebs tonight. So pix well be up for sure. Later guys

UCLA CEC Presents: Look At This F*Cking Panel: A Sociological Discussion On The Hipster

Last night I was able to go to UCLA and covered

Look At This F*Cking Panel: A Sociological Discussion On The Hipster

It was pretty damn interesting, gave me a better view on “The Hipster”. What I got from it was it’s not really a bad thing to become or be a hipster at all. Its just a trend, like the Hippies and Punks and shit as one of the panelist Gavin McInnes (co-founder of Vice Magazine) had said. He was awesome I thought, he’s pretty raw and completely honest. Which was rad since I thought he knows a lot about the culture. There where a few intense moments from one end of panel to the other. Mary Corey (UCLA History Dept) and Gavin didn’t see eye-to-eye on some shit so it was entertaining to see their different views on the culture of “Hipsters” expressed in one place. With Gavin making a “blow my brains out” motion to as Mary Corey’s answered a question from the audience it was great. Hearing what Mark Hunter (The Cobra Snake) had to say got me pretty inspired. Explaining why he got started. Alexi Wasser (imboycrazy.com) was cool, was pretty boy crazy. Asking a dude that had question from the audience to show his stomach lol. And saying “this is the only reason why I’m here.” I had to cut it a lil early not sure how long it lasted. It was fun an interesting.

DMV Pizza Juice 101110

So I’ve decided to start blogging more…

101110 – Today, well yesterday, Arlene and I got up early and went over to the DMV to renew her license. Found out she gets a cool new one. They just put them out I guess, harder for kids to get fake ones I’m sure. Bunch of UV stuff like birthday and a cool Cali bear on it too, which is pretty rad. The thing at the DMV was, we went they’re early and everything waited for about 2 hours. Got called up and the lady had told us “ We are having a state wide issue with our system is down”. I’m thinking this is why people hate coming to the DMV. Honestly they could have announced that their shit went down, but then it might have started a riot. Pissing off the people that have been there earlier than we where. Luckily the lady took down our number and said they would call when it was back up (bullshit, they don’t care lol). While they got their shit together we went and got lunch at Mulberry Pizza, bomb btw. Then after we stopped at Jamba Juice for some smoothies. Headed back to the DMV told them our situation on coming back. They hooked it up with an F something number, and apparently you get called sooner with an F. I started thinking; do they use the F for the special people? And other letters like G, and C, just to just fuck with other people and make them hate life. I don’t know just seemed like that to me. So when and if you go into a DMV ask for an F or make an excuse on them why you need deserve an F. Shit just might go by faster, just saying. Leave a comment on an excuse you would give to deserve an F at the DMV. It could even be…

“I left my kid in the car without the widows down, kind of in a hurry”

That’s it for today/yesterdays entry. I’m going to try and do more videos like that up there too. It was shot with my Droid Incredible, woking on getting a better video cam. Thanks for reading
